A long-time choral educator, co-wrote with daughter Elizabeth Jorgensen the 2022 young adult biography, Gwen Jorgensen: USA’s First Olympic Gold Medal Triathlete. They also collaborated on a memoir, Go, Gwen, Go: A Family's Journey to Olympic Gold. Both books are published by Meyer & Meyer Sport. Nancy Jorgensen is the co-author of two music education books, Things They Never Taught You in Choral Methods and From the Trenches: Real Insights from Real Choral Educators, and she has published numerous nonfiction articles and essays.
