Sarah D. Cordova is a nationally recognized literacy consultant who works in elementary and middle school classrooms across the country. She supports administrators, literacy coaches, and classroom teachers in developing and implementing the most effective and engaging standards-based literacy practices. Ms. Cordova worked as a classroom teacher for many years on Long Island, New York and has presented at various local, state and national literacy conferences. Today she is the Director of Literacy Matters, a literacy consulting firm based in Long Island, New York. When not reading picture books, she spends her free time with her two children, Sam and Anna, her partner, Jim, and their family dog, Henry.
