American International School of Bucharest (AISB) was founded in 1962 and is currently Bucharest’s largest international school. The language of instruction is English and teaching is based upon the prestigious International Baccalaureate Programme throughout the entire school, from Early Childhood through to Grade 12. The New England Association of Schools and Colleges, The Council of International Schools, and the International Baccalaureate Organization accredit the school.

AISB is governed by its Board of Trustees, which oversees the school’s strategic plan, budget & funding decisions, policy regulation, and Director support. The Director represents AISB while handling the school’s development, projects, and day-to-day matters.
